Most of us have a hectic lifestyle full of responsibilities and expectations which often lead to depression & stress. Not that we can be always out of it but we can genuinely try to keep our mind & soul as healthy as possible just like our body. Here are few tried and tested tips which surely keeps one going and cheery more often than not.

–          Smile. Smile. Smile: A smile doesn’t cost anything. So pass a smile to wish a good morning, or thank anyone or just to make a stranger feel good. You could at time even smile to your thoughts, to yourself in the mirror without thinking you’ve lost it. Smiling for any possible reason would make for a positive mood and a smiling happy soul.

–          Show your love to your loved ones: It’s very important to show that you care & love your close ones. The faith that someone loves you and you love that someone unconditionally has an incredible positive rub off. It gives us a reason to live, to be happy. So, give a sweet morning kiss to your partner and your kids to make their day along with yours to keep your soul cheery.

–          Think positive: Thinking positive doesn’t necessarily mean that you think you can do everything. It also means that we understand what others can do or think. It means telling ourselves that others also have a perspective which we should understand and that no problem comes without a solution – we just need to find it! If we can believe and practice this, it’ll free our souls of anger and stress many a times.

–          Prioritise: We need to let go few things in life to have a healthy soul. Bothering about every little thing will only add to stress and our ageing. And that’s possibly why we need to set our priorities in life, in our every day schedule; among people we interact to have that very precious peace of mind.

–          Be comfortable with yourself: Many a times we start undermining ourselves by comparing to others which further bruises our soul with depression. We need to feel comfortable with ‘who we are’ and not bother about how we fare amongst others at all times. It doesn’t matter where we stand among a pool of people because each one of comes to life with their share of joys & sorrows and their unique reason of existence.
